Inviting kids over to your house for a slumber party or a play date entails a lot of preparation to make sure that everybody enjoys their stay. The most challenging part is keeping the kids occupied and entertained.

In my experience, a home theater system is very handy when it comes to entertainment concerns. A large screen TV complete with amplifiers and speaker stands for a cool digital surround experience proves to be a cool entertainment partner for any small gathering.

The kids would often plug in their favorite music or watch their favorite movies while munching on snacks. But the most popular home theater use for our parties is the videoke or karaoke function. Kids and adults would sing their heart out with the speakers and amplifiers in moderate volume lest we disturb our neighbors. A word of warning though, mic hogging incidents may occur during videoke sessions.
