My blood started to boil at the highest degree of temperature as I watched this video. My Mom is also suffering from Alzheimer. Actually she is already doing things that sometimes tend to harm her and others too. There are also times that Mama is already unmanageable and she is always irritated and paranoid on just about anything. There are times that she will tell my sister that she was stealing from her. When in fact it is my very patient sister who is taking good care of her. But when my sister was able to watch the video below, she told us that although Mama is already at an annoying stage (sometimes even hurting others and throwing tantrums on just about anything), she would never do anything to hurt our Mom and I do believe her and admire her at the same time

My Point of Views:
Although I know that taking care of an aged person suffering from Alzheimer is no easy task to do especially if you are sick yourself. There is in no way that you should hurt the very person who gave you life and nurtured you until the days when you are already ready to face the world. I am afraid that your kids will follow suit. That you will be given a dose of your own medicine – your kids will treat you the way you did to your old Mom. And oh, don’t dismantle the cage yet, because who knows that may be the same cage where your kids will house you…

The fit of my rage goes to the DSWD representative. I find her to be irrational, stupid and inconsiderate to the maximum level. I never imagine someone who would ever say that Grandma is perfectly OK since she was still able to walk after the rescue. Will she still wait for the old lady to be covered with blood and can no longer walk before she take action? She was mentioning about the sick old children of Lola, telling that they themselves are sick and are not capable of taking care of the old lady. Granted that they are in that unfortunate situation, there is in no way that they should violate the human rights of the old lady – caged her into a pit fit for a doggy and the worst is to hurt her frail, fragile body.

While it is true that there may be times that the caregivers of the elderly may experience being hard up. In addition, what if some of the caretaker (family member) would also have a family to tend to and has to work so they can feed her children – meaning they cannot take care of their oldies fulltime otherwise they have nothing to eat on their tables. Does our government have enough programs for the elderly? I just hope that the government can provide for a decent shelter and care giving services for them. There are several agencies, but they only cater to those who have no family to tend them or those abandoned elderly.

I am a very practical person, when the time comes that my hubby and I are already old and gray, I do not mind if my kids will house us in a decent shelter for the elderly, provided that the facilities is conducive for the needs of the senior citizens. Housing us there does not mean that they love me less for I am sure that they will visit me or even fetch me during their available time.

Finally Brown Pinay Is Back….after being abruptly deleted in the blogosphere by the big G without my consent…luckily, Brown Pinay has been restored.  The moment that I was able to recover it…immediately after I transfered it to WP platform under a self-hosted server.

I had blogged my heart out about the nightmare of the taught of losing a blog of 5 years (here ) and the joy and lessons learned from return of Brown Pinay here.

Today I experienced the greatest nightmare every blogger can ever had .  My personal blog Brown Pinay has been lost in the blogosphere out of no where.

When I signed into my google account, it came up with a message stating that there was an unusual activity in my account.  I also receive a verification code and immediately after, I change my password. After I entered the verification code, I was able to access my email, but unfortunately when I am about to post an entry in my Brown Pinay blog, it was not there anymore.  But how ironic that the other 3 non-active blogs under that account were all intact.  I tried to research and I felt so relieve that mine is not an isolated case.

Right now I can NO longer access the blog…when I am typing the URL (http://www.brownpinay.com/) into the browser it says:

“The blog you were looking for was not found. If you are the owner of this blog, please sign in.“
Upon clicking on “sign in”, you are sent directly to your dashboard,

but still I cannot find it :(  Losing a Page Rank or getting rejected in adsense is actually hurting, you can just imagine the feeling how it is to lose a blog that you owned for 5 long years…

Prior to this I havent receive any email informing me that my blog is a SPLOG (Spam Blog) or will be deleted.

I really cried out of desperation and disappointment, I have no one to run to except for my blogging friends at Pinay Mommy Communities (a group of Pinay Mommy bloggers created to help one another).  I find solace in their company since I know that they can fully understand my predicament unlike others who would tell me that I am over reacting.

Thanks to Mommy Ruby for giving me the contact of another helpful Pinay (Liezl of Bloguardian Hellsite: Overcashed)  who has also undergone the same predicament like mine.  At least I find in her solace and hope that I can reinstate my blog.  We exchange several FB messages and she gave me an entry link (How To Restore Deleted Blogspot Blog Due To Spam Detection?) of what she did to reinstate her blog hosted in blogger by which I diligently followed.

I already emailed blogger team and I am still hopeful that I can take back Brown Pinay…(After 4 hours someone from Google answered-so developments here)

This is my personal blog for almost 5 years which chronicles my family life and the growth of my 2 kids.  I am really crying my heart out and has been depressed since this is blog is something dear for a Mommy like me…This has been a medium of communication for a Pamilyang OFW like ours, actually most probably why we are still intact after even 6 years of a  long distance communication/relationship with my dear OFW hubby.

To be honest I am still trying to contain myself…I am extremely sad that every time I cannot access my personal blog I feel like crying.

If ever worst comes to worst and it can be reinstated, now comes plan B:  I will retrieve my files from the google reader (Oct 2008 files until present) and good thing that I still have my friendster blog account which mirrored what I had previously written in my Brown Pinay blog (May 2006 to February 2009). Although I discovered that the very reason why I have poor PR0 is because of duplicate entries Friendster blog and Brown Pinay I am still very thankful).

How do you get yourself organized with all the left and right chores in the house? Plus a crying toddler or a demanding husband waiting his dinner to be served?

Whew, tough one to answer especially if your middle initial is Procrastination and your surname is WorkingMom. I had constantly blog in my Brown Pinay, that I sulks when it comes to time management. How do I keep sane? Well, I do keep a small notebook (a tickler) wherein I would write all the things that has to be done. Mind you I am a perennial forgetful lady here, perhaps because of my 2 Caesarian operations. The very reason why the handy dandy notebook is very effective to me. I write whatever needs to be done and check it off once done. This is very helpful to me at work. But since Procrastination is my middle name, there are many blog posts back logs that needs to be done hehehhe.

At home, I have a maid to help me out especially with the laundry and other cleaning chores in the house. Since my helper only knows how to fry and sautee simple recipe, I would usually do the cooking. After office (mind you my office is from pasig and I am living in caloocan), my maid will have all the ingredients prepared, veggies chopped, meat tendered blah blah, the moment I arrive…there goes Super Wonder Mom….weeee….without even taking my office clothes off, I will be cooking the dish…which is usually good until the next day.

Wonder Working Mom

At the office, I will frequently call home to check on my kids. I would constantly remind my youngest to take a nap and to study whatever he has to do. Now another Wonder Mom thing – The moment I arrive home, I will be checking on his assignments and review him….

Good thing that my hubby, is not a pain in the ass – he tends for himself, fixed his own dress and if he is not working over time teaches my kids especially in the areas of Mathematics which is my waterloo….

I also have simple house rules for my kids to help us get by, less arguments, less talk since they know my rules

This is indeed the life of a Super Wonder Mom that I know others can relate to…there might be guilt bites once in a while but my kids will surely realize that I may be away at work all the time, but nevertheless does not mean that I care less.

The calamities that we are experiencing right now are very alarming. There has been series of natural disaster all over the world – the massive flooding in Australia, earthquake in New Zealand and Japan’s Intensity 8.9 earthquake and coastline tsunami.

With the advent of all of this, most of the wall posts in Facebook, Plurk and Twitter stats are all about the calamities. Some would post bible excerpts and prayer brigades, while others post about the coming end of the world and the prophecy of 2012.

I know that everything that is happening is frightening, actually I am so afraid and dumbfounded myself. But I just hope that let us just give hope to one another. Let us refrain from posting that the end of the world is coming, instead a post for repentance, forgiveness and protection from God will be more heart warming. We do not need to scare the hell out of one another just to encourage others to repent and go back to the fold of God. Negative reinforcement will only cause panic and chaos. This whole day, I had this feeling of paranoia, because of all the post about the end of the world.

God is good and forgiving, we only need to seek His loving arms and He will surely protect us in His loving arms.

Amidst all the calamities there is our God who will keep us under His protection. God will embrace the world with His protective grace & merciful blessings.

This is just my point of view and as I said my own desire.

Where there is suffering, may upliftment follow in the name of love, together in prayer, we are one.

Would you allow your child to go out on a date as early as 16? What do you think you’d feel about it if one day your child would ask you “Ma, can I got out on Friday night with…..? I will be speaking by experience. I’ve got a teen daughter (17 turning 18 this coming October), she has her boyfriend at the age of 14. Naturally, I do not agree on it, it came as a surprise to me that I really screamed at the top of my lungs. But my husband told me that gone are the days of old fashion parenting and we have to keep up with the times. To know more about how I reacted and accepted it. Philippine Street Children

Much has been said about the popular and most debatable House Bill No. 5043 or more popularly known as Reproductive Health (RH) Bill.  There are many opinions but here is MY POINT OF VIEW about the RH Bill.

I am a Catholic since birth but I do support the RH Bill.  Actually I have been a user of contraceptives for birth control.  I am not for abortion nor am I a promoter for misuse and abuse of contraceptives, nor am I a promoter of premarital sex. RH Bill is not against the essence of “LIFE” itself.

But with the passing of the RH Bill must come massive educational campaign to explain and support it.  Also, it should be accessible to those who are less privileged since I just observed that those who have less in life has more children whom they cannot decently provide for.  If implemented properly, RH Bill should makes sure that the poor gets priority attention.  Likewise, these people should know that they have rights – as a wife, a mother and Filipino citizen.

I do respect the church for their beliefs; however I feel that we should be given a choice as to what family planning methods should be used.

Others may not agree of this, but this is MY POINT OF VIEW.
